Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist - Rotten Tomatoes

Looking forward to seeing this, I have a feeling it'll make me nostalgic for my NYU days!

Quoted: Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist is a comedy about two people thrust together for one hilarious, sleepless night of adventure in a world of mix tapes, late-night living, and, live, loud music.

Rachel Getting Married, reviewed. - Slate Magazine

Definitely want to check this movie out...

Quoted: Demme is so hip at this point he can comfortably return to being square. Not that the man who made Stop Making Sense was ever all that square, but Demme did make his name with small, intimate dramas about friendship and loneliness and the inexorable pull of family ties (Melvin & Howard, Something Wild). With Rachel Getting Married (Sony Pictures Classics), the story of an addict who's released from rehab to attend her sister's wedding, he returns to that rich subject matter.

Alan Ball's Towelhead reviewed. - Slate Magazine

Would like to check out this film - didn't realize it was directed by Alan Ball (American Beauty & Six Feet Under).

Quoted: As Jasira, the barely pubescent protagonist of Towelhead (Warner Independent Pictures), the 19-year-old actress Summer Bishil captures the terrifying combination of lubricity and innocence that is being 13.

Vicky Cristina Barcelona - Movie - The New York Times

Looking forward to checking out the latest Woody Allen movie. The cast is great - I love Javier Bardem!

Quoted: Bathed in light so lusciously golden that you might be tempted to lick the screen, “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” is a rueful comedy about two young American women who, during a summertime European idyll, savor many of the Continental delicacies that travelers often take pleasure in: art, music, culture, but also strange bodies and unexpected dreams.

The Lifetime Original Move 2.0 - Slate Magazine

I know it's not exactly feminist, but I LOVE Lifetime Original movies. They're so bad that they're good! I hope I get some time to watch these this summer...

Quoted: The joke about the original movies on Lifetime, the grande dame of gynocentric cable channels, is that they all present women as victims—weepies about cancer and kidnapping or melodramas about awful men.

The Dark Knight, reviewed. - Slate Magazine

Can't wait to see this in IMAX! Christian Bale + IMAX = awesomeness, although I still think Newsies is his finest work :)

Quoted: If I hear the word superhero one more time this summer, I may superhurl. The very letters on my keyboard—S-U-P-E-R-H-E-R-O—are stained from overuse ... But for all The Dark Knight's occasionally bombastic excess, it tops them all, and not only in star power and sheer number of things blown up.
