Forecasters dial down expected force of windstorm | Seattle Times

Even though today's wind storm won't be as bad as previously thought, I'm getting the hell out of the east side early today.

Quoted: The Highway 520 bridge typically gets closed down if there are sustained winds reaching 50 mph for 15 minutes or more, said Lauren Penning, spokeswoman for the state Department of Transportation. A warning siren on the bridge will go off if winds reach 40 mph for one minute.

you may want to consider i-90 if the traffic is not too bad -- holds up much better than 520 during windstorms.

Shiwani I am glad you are taking precautions. I had heard about the storm on TV. It is so warm and humid over here.
