Books of Wonder is a beautiful children's bookstore in NY... a great place to study (probably because it's attached to a cupcake cafe with pretty good pie & coffee:)) If you can get your book stocked by them, you're in pretty good shape! They also have cool vintage books and posters of illustrations from classics...
