Saw this movie on the plane and it was a pleasant surprise ... well-written with a great cast.

Checking out this SIFF film tonight ... really looking forward to it!
Quoted: Who is Arlen Faber? Despite selling millions of books, it’s been years since anyone except for his one-time editor has seen the reclusive, cantankerous author. On the eve of the 20th anniversary of his still wildly popular book, Arlen is still sought after as the man who has all the answers.

I actually really loved this movie. I can see why it wouldn't be a huge hit in India, but I thought the story and characters were so compelling. Bonuses: lots of great Bollywood star cameos and some serious girl power :)
Quoted: “Luck by Chance” is an appealing tale of two would-be actors looking for movie stardom.

Exciting news for Frieda Pinto. I was wondering how many of these actors would have staying power once the 'Slumdog' excitement dies down...
Quoted: On the heels of her breakout performance in the Oscar-winning film 'Slumdog Millionaire,' Freida Pinto has been cast in a film from a well known Hollywood director.

Yeah, I loved The Dark Crystal, Willie Wonka, Return to Oz and The Fox and The Hound and I'm sure Coraline will be a fast favorite. Turns out that my parents didn't shelter us as much as they thought they should ...

They provide us college students with blissful hours of nostalgia-fueled discussions about which Disney princess was hottest or which McDonalds tie-in toy we most enjoyed. Something often forgotten by people our age is the service they provide to parents; plop your kids in front of their favorite movie and that should shut them up for an hour and a half. But what about those movies that go too far—that advertise themselves as family-friendly romps or a short time of silence for weary parents but end up causing crippling emotional damage through their inappropriate themes and horrific visuals?
