I'd never seen this before, but I actually really enjoyed it. I think it did a good job of capturing the things that can drive people apart/ bring them together in relationships, and I particularly liked Barbara Streisand's character. I still say Two for the Road is my favorite in this genre though!
Quoted: Robert Redford and Barbra Streisand star as sociopolitical opposites--he's a WASP novelist, she's an activist--who strike up a romance in the 1930s, and have a rocky relationship through the next two decades.

I've heard this book, based on a true story, is fantastic. I'll definitely have to read it before the movie comes out. Meanwhile, I think Johnny Depp and Mira Nair will make a great team - can't wait!
Quoted: Depp is to play the lead in Nair's new movie "Shantaram" about an Australian fugitive on the run who arrives in Mumbai, sets up a free clinic in a shanty and works for the city's crime bosses.
