Seattle Newcomer Examiner: Burlesque - Seattle's Best Kept Secret?

My latest blog post. Um, notice a trend in what I've been writing about? Haha.

Quoted: Seattle Newcomer Examiner - Recently, I was surprised to learn that Seattle has one of the biggest and baddest (that's a compliment) burlesque scenes in the country. You could even say it's been a pioneer in burlesque's recent resurgence.

Goodbye Edith Macefield, Ballardite Who Defied Developers - Examiner.com

    Sad...

Quoted: Somewhere in heaven, there's a little Craftsman bungalow waiting for the arrival of Edith Macefield. And hopefully, this little house in the great beyond will not be boxed in by six-story walls of steel girders and concrete, the way Edith Macefield's home in Ballard was in the final years of the Ballard resident's life.

Fremont Fair: June 21st and 22nd

Hooray, time for the Fremont Fair! City Guides actually has an article ranking the Solstice Parade (nude bike ride, and all) as one of the countrys' best solstice events. I'm also a big fan of the Mermaid Parade in Coney Island...

Quoted: Now in its 37th year, Fremont Fair returns to celebrate the Summer Solstice and the best of our community. During Fair weekend, people from all walks of life come together to shop, eat, drink, perform, smile, dance, run, converse, debate, groove and parade.

New-to-Seattle Examiner - A Tale of Two Cities: Cheating on New York with Seattle - Examiner.com

Okay, re-faving my new blog post. There were technical difficulties with the site last night...

Quoted: Apologies for the long lag between posts, but I have something important to report: I think I'm falling for Seattle. The only problem is, I'm already in love with another city (you know, the one that never sleeps and makes pizza to die for).

Checking this place out on Sunday - looking forward to it! Sri, saw you had a decent experience there and I do want to go someplace other than Le Pichet...

Quoted: The menu draws heavily on traditional French fare, including a complex and satisfying onion soup and a decadent chicken liver parfait. Mussels, a popular main course, are cooked with sparkling wine, cream, parsley and hunks of bacon.

Going from tour guide neophyte to true Seattleite - Examiner.com

My latest blog post (I admit it, I have a weird obsession with the Fremont Troll).

Quoted: Don't get me wrong - I enjoy watching fish being hurled through the air at Pike Place Market, I giggle like I’m in on a secret when I see the scantily clad mermaid on the original Starbucks logo, and I would love to take a picture where it looks like I'm touching the top of the Space Needle with one finger.
