    I hope China doesn't try to ban cell phones with recording devices after this. It's a fuzzy boundary between the economic opportunism that China champions, and the freedom of speech that it's trying to subdue. This is really one of the most powerful forms of revolt that these people have right now.

    Very interesting piece about what's happening with the $100 laptop initiative now that for-profit competitors are snagging the idea from the non-profit sector...

    Swedes open embassy in Second Life - CNN.com

    Ha, this is awesome! Apparently the virtual embassy doesn't offer any consular services, though - it was just created to promote Sweden's image and culture.
