I see the writer's point - this definitely makes men's tennis more interesting to watch for sure. But I don't know that I'd really call Nadal a 'defensive' player - he really seemed to be dictating most of the shots in the Wimbledon final...
Quoted: Remember the early 2000s when men's tennis became almost unwatchable—booming serves, points that ended before you blinked, rackets blasting serves 130 miles an hour? With Rafael Nadal dethroning 5-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer, that no longer applies. Defense now reigns supreme.

Wow, some big news for tennis. Women may play shorter matches, but lately, they definitely have been attracting as much of a crowd and as much money (if not more). Their games tend to be more interesting to watch (not to mention the US & Australian Open already pay equal prize money) so I say they deserve it!
Quoted: Wimbledon bowed to public pressure and agreed to pay women players as much as the men beginning this year.

Tennis Bankroll tennis tipster service from Alex King. Tennis seems to be a decent sport to be betting on - only two distinct outcomes. Again, tempting.
