Ditching shampoo a dirty little beauty secret - msnbc.com

My hairstylist told me ages ago that Americans wash their hair way too much (she's convinced it's a conspiracy from the shampoo companies), which prompted me to experiment with washing hair less. Aside from it being better for the environment, it makes my hair look way better (although people are never satisfied with the answer when they ask me how I have such nice hair, haha.)

Quoted: Some hair stylists and dermatologists say going a few extra days between shampoos — or junking the stuff entirely — could actually benefit your tresses.

Modern Love - A Joint Account That Underwrites Our Marriage - NYTimes.com

This quote is really insightful: "Being single is all about the future, about the person you’re going to meet at Starbucks or after answering the next scientific compatibility questionnaire. Being married, after a certain point, is about the past, about a steadily growing history of moments that provide a confidence of comfort, an asset that compounds over time."

Quoted: Recently one of my wife’s college students kept pressing us, with baffled curiosity, for our secret, as if there had to be some trick to it, like wearing each other’s clothes on Tuesdays.

Full-Body Scanners at Airports: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly | Fast Company

    Whoa, this is pretty crazy!
