The Olympics loom behind the new Tacoma Narrows Bridge, which is taking the shape of a finished span after the last section of road deck was installed this week. The 46 deck pieces were manufactured in South Korea, transported to Tacoma by ship and ferried into position on a barge. Construction has fallen four months behind schedule due to damaged components and bad weather; the bridge is expected to open in August.
