I'm only on page three so far of this article about the Obama's marriage. I thought it would be gossipy but so far, it's fascinating. I really admire Michelle Obama (yes, yes, I admire Pres. Obama too) and their candid answers really are illuminating. Anyway, would love to hear others' thoughts on the piece.
Quoted: It’s modern. It’s a formidable brand. And it’s a continuing negotiation between two strong-minded individuals.

this is disgusting - and just goes to show that the attacks on van jones are one part of a larger racist campaign (and a campaign against green jobs). the crazies will not stop at tearing down van jones...

Shiwani - this directly counters the Guardian article...ah the drama!
Quoted: Reports that portray Clinton as willing to accept the job once vetted are inaccurate, one Clinton insider told Politico. See also: Clinton roils Obamaland

redotting from Shiwani. This is definitely well said and I agree that the Hillary's campaign helped strengthen Barack.
quoted: But now Mrs. Clinton's decision to stay in the race until the last primary has been vindicated. Mr. Obama is a stronger candidate today thanks to Mrs. Clinton's pursuit of the Democratic nomination. And, far from being polarizing, she has helped bring the party together more than at any time in recent memory.

ridiculous.
Quoted: A pony-size pig who held an Australian woman hostage for 10 days inside her home will be removed on Wednesday to a piggery, where his bacon will be saved by a stint on stud duties, rangers said.

YES! Well said: To vote in protest for McCain/Palin would be like saying, "Somebody stole my shoes, so I'll amputate my legs."
Quoted: Here's the good news: Women have become so politically powerful that even the anti-feminist right wing -- the folks with a headlock on the Republican Party -- are trying to appease the gender gap with a first-ever female vice president. We owe this to women -- and to many men too -- who have picketed, gone on hunger strikes or confronted violence at the polls so women can vote. We owe it to Shirley Chisholm, who first took the "white-male-only" sign off the White House, and to Hillary Rodham Clinton, who hung in there through ridicule and misogyny to win 18 million votes.

hmmm, abstinence only education clearly works...
Quoted: The 17-year-old daughter of Sarah Palin, John McCain’s running mate, plans to marry the father, according to the campaign.

This is why electability is such a ridiculous thing during the primary...when we have two popular candidates, we should just vote on the issues and which one we want not one who we think will beat the opposition. electability is a media construct that fluctuates constantly.
But this is good news for Clinton going into Indiana, definitely.Quoted: WASHINGTON -- Hillary Rodham Clinton has a better chance than Barack Obama of beating Republican John McCain, according to a new Associated Press-Ipsos poll that bolsters her argument that she is more electable in the fall than her rival for the Democratic nomination.

I thought this was worth a read
Quoted: If Barack Obama values independent thinking, why is his the most predictable liberal vote in the Senate?
