    Vote by Mail FAQ

i was sent back by the post office stating that ballots will not be accepted on election day. just found out she is wrong, now heading back to the post office to mail in my ballot.

    .....

When must the voted ballot be returned?
Mail ballots must be post-marked on or before Election Day. If the Auditor's Office receives a ballot after Election Day that was not post-marked on or before Election Day, the votes on the ballot will not be counted.

She must be confused by Washington State law (assuming you're sending it from Ohio).

um, wtf? the post office should know that! you can still mail in ballots as long as they're postmarked ON election day.

She must have been able to tell that you were a shifty-eyed liberal and wanted to make sure your vote wasn't counted.
