so trying to read up on hinduism and found something i didn't know which i thought was interesting.
and i quote : The Hindu religion speaks of many individual deities, called Devas. Goddesses are called devīs.
so basically the male deities are 'Devas' and yet that term is used for female 'stars' in the US. or am i incorrect in this.
additional note : after researching more i see that 'Diva' is derived from the latin term - Divus meaning divine one.
