playing this game right now - it's pretty fun - kinda braindead shootin' up. think metal slug - but cuter / less fun? it's okay, got it on sale at ebgames for $17... it'll do.

oh did i mention you fight really big ass monsters in this game? and yes - that's a real screen shot, and yes you do fight that big ol' monster - his actual the first boss! ho ho!

this is the game i refered to on your dot. this is god of war (which i have) which kicks major ass. if you wanna borrow it let me know and i'll bring it into the office.

it's basically hack & slash with puzzle solving. but the hack & slash is so much fun you'll love it. + the story is pretty sweet. not as involved as Metal Gear Solid 3, but the story on this one is pretty brutal and the pacing / telling of the story is very well done.

just finished playing this game - here's my review.

first - i loved the first two metal gear solid series, but it took me this long to play the third cause i ended up getting an XBox rather then a PS2. just recently i picked up a PS2 because of all the games that system has to offer.

the overall play was okay. meaning there were frustrating moments where the camera angle was off and you had no clue where the 'enemy' were. but that's okay because i wanted the story more then the game play.

the story was amazing. it played like an interactive movie - if you're not into long animations that run 5-10 min telling you details of the story then this might not be for you (although you can skip those if you wish). i had the game setting at EASY and played it through with some walkthru help - mainly just to get to the story bits.

it's better then any 007 movie (i thought) with twists and turns. if you're a fan of great storytelling then i would highly recommend this game - especially now that it's dropped in price (it's been out for awhile).

FYI - if you do finish the game - watch the credits. at the very end they have extra dialog which reveals yet another twist.

just picked this up - haven't payed it yet but i'm looking forward to playing it. loved the first two installments of the game but then i got a xBox and couldn't play the third one.

just got a ps2 bout 3 months ago so now i'm able to play all these wonderful ps2 games (plus most of them are now discounted!)
