apan's Sharp Corp. (6753.T: Quote, NEWS , Research) introduced on Sunday a 108-inch LCD television, which it says is the largest of its kind.

Sharp Electronics calls this the world's largest LCD television. Not many people buy these things, but they are showcases for technologies that will come to smaller sets. Sharp also asserts that they demonstrate how LCD can now challenge plasma TVs in large formats.
