    TIME.com: Why John Updike Is So Wrong About Digitized Books -- Page 1

    An interesting take on this. But I say that digitizing books is a huge threat to intellectual property, and not beneficial to authors at all. What about royalties?.

    Shi, I've never heard of these people, but 10% is reasonable. 15% is standard. Want me to ask around about other agencies that do kids books?

    I think publisher's are definitely worried about illegal downloading of ebooks (like that there will be a napster for books), but they also seem pretty confident that people would rather read on the page than on these devices, no matter how sophisticated they get
