lol - actually i need to get another laptop. my monitor is the suck on my monitor and i need a laptop to do work while traveling. can you recommend a good one?

The MBP has the power but it's overpriced, you might also look want to look for something a bit more mobile than that. Chris Hahn recently got a laptop in that class, you might ask him what sort of machines he evaluated.

Lisa just got a Dell Inspiron 1520, in pink....

I use my 1501 for everything. With 2G Ram and a fast HD, it works great. I'm currently evaluating Photoshop in a virtual machine on this laptop (500MB just for that) and even with the overhead, it works quite well.

what about the monitor? my laptop works fairly okay, but the colors are way way off (not sure if this is a recent occurrence) and now my requirements for a laptop is power and monitor display.

and i'll ask chris h. for his recommendations as well.
