Quoted: ベンチャーリパブリックは、自社で運営するPC・家電の価格比較サイト「coneco.net（コネコネット）」のAPI（Application Programming Interface）を開発者やサイト制作者に向けて公開するサービス「coneco.net Web Services (コネコネット ウェブ サービス）」を開始した。
coneco.net Web Servicesで公開するAPIは、coneco.netでのカテゴリの情報、階層を取得する「カテゴリ検索API」と、coneco.netでの商品の情報を取得し、カテゴリごとの商品の一覧や、商品名での商品の検索を行うことができる「商品検索API」、「conecoクラブ」でユーザが書き込みを行った商品のレビュー情報を取得する「レビュー情報取得API」となる。
また、coneco.netで提供する、100万件を超える製品情報、価格情報等のデータを公開。利用者はconeco.net Web Servicesを利用することにより、低コストで新たなサービスやアプリケーション開発をできるようになる。

By that time, I'm quite sure there would be another solution that could replace SharePoint, and the cycle would start again. We can quibble about the numbers, but you get the point. Plus, the numbers don't reflect that the SaaS solution is likely to improve and innovate faster than the licensed software by a significant amount.
