Quoted: ニューヨークの通話録音会社「2ReCall」が、最初の通話録音サービスをローンチした。この新サービスでは米国内同志の通話であれば、800のフリーダイヤルにかけてから、相手先の番号をダイアルするだけで録音できる。2ReCallがフリーダイアル方式だということは、つまりどの電話からかけても録音できるということ。来年頃には、かかってきた電話も録音できるようになるというし、最終的には、ある電話番号での通話をすべて録音するシームレスなソリューションを目指している。
録音された通話はネット上で2ReCallの自分のアカウントに .wavか.mp3形式のファイルで保管され、ダウンロードや確認をしたり、コメントを付けることができる。フリーダイアルのサービスではあるが、使い始めるにはまず
$4.95/月で、500MBのストレージ+1分あたり20セントか、$8.95/月で1GB+15セント/分のどちらかを払う。
このサービスは、しょっちゅう通話を録音する必要のある人（ジャーナリスト、専門職、電話会議など）すべてが対象。
