Being and Event - or - Nullifying the Opposition, the Rip Van Winkle Way!

i found this haphazardly. it consists of the reflections of some analytic philosophy dude taking about badiou's being and event. there really isn't enough argumentation to make it that interesting, as it is concerned more with the narrative badiou gives regarding post-kantian philosophy, but if this guy is right then maybe checking out wittgenstein might not be such a bad idea. maybe getting a primer on recent analytic history isn't such a bad idea either.

hmm.. i will have to look at it later, unless you wanna give a summary. does he just blast badiou for being some sort of stalinist bastard?

    • zerohour - Mar 04 2008

no, no it's not that. he's concerned with badiou's naivete regarding analytic philoosophical developments since witgenstein and carnap, specifically as regards the analytic inheritence of kantian and post-kantian philosophy.
