Quoted: Cheese contains tryptophan, an amino acid that has been found to relieve stress and induce sleep...Government-imposed pasteurization is, itself, controversial. Some say these worries are overblown, pointing out that pasteurization of the milk used to make cheese does not ensure its safety in any case...This is supported by statistics showing that in Europe (where young raw-milk cheeses are still legal in some countries), most cheese-related food poisoning incidents were traced to pasteurized cheeses.

Now, who was it that said penises had to go into some kind of hole?
LADYBOYS4EVAAA! THIRD-SEX-REICH! DICTATORSHIP OF THE KATOEY!
More seriously, the fact that 'third-sex' has become a part of anyone's normal vocabulary is pretty effing sweet--even though it seems to have been accompanied by some pretty unseemly medical practices. And really, I'm not sure about this lopping off of penises. Not because everyone has to have either an innie or an outtie, but because it's pretty obvious that ladyboyhood is becoming a fad and it looks as though guys are just jumping off of the proverbial bridge like lemmings. Only they're not jumping off bridges, they're lopping off their dongs. Still, you go guyrls!
Quoted: BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's health chiefs barred hospitals and clinics on Wednesday from castrating would-be ladyboys amid growing concern about the operation being seen as a cheap and quick alternative

i found this haphazardly. it consists of the reflections of some analytic philosophy dude taking about badiou's being and event. there really isn't enough argumentation to make it that interesting, as it is concerned more with the narrative badiou gives regarding post-kantian philosophy, but if this guy is right then maybe checking out wittgenstein might not be such a bad idea. maybe getting a primer on recent analytic history isn't such a bad idea either.

Yikes.
1 FaverViewed: 4 TimesQuoted: In a spectacular act of complicity with the religious right, the Department of Health and Human Services Monday released a proposal that allows any federal grant recipient to obstruct a woman's access to contraception. In order to do this, the Department is attempting to redefine many forms of contraception, the birth control 40% of Americans use, as abortion.
